NEW COURT CLERK: The city of Dunwoody announced last week the promotion of Trina Gallien to the position of municipal clerk of court. Ms. Gallien has served the city since March 2009 as deputy clerk of court and succeeds Tiffany Pete.
In her new position, Ms. Gallien will be responsible for maintaining and storing legal documents, collecting court-mandated fees and managing all functions of the city’s municipal court.
Ms. Gallien is a member of the Georgia Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association and is certified by the Georgia Crime Information Center. Ms. Gallien had 14 years of experience in the legal field and served as the judicial clerk for Sandy Springs Municipal Court before she joined the city of Dunwoody.

FOOD AND MUSIC: The 10th Annual Decatur Barbeque Blues & Bluegrass Festival is set for Harmony Park in Decatur Aug. 21 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Kids 10 and under will admitted free. No outside coolers will be permitted on the site.
The Community Center of South Decatur, the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association and the Decatur Recreation Department will host the event.
